LLoyd Staffing was recently contacted by Wall Street Journal Columnist, Sue Shellenbarger, to learn how we and other companies accommodate children in our corporate setting. One of the staff members she interviewed was Barbara Cohen Farber, Executive Director of LLoyd Administrative Staffing, with 14 years at LLoyd and nearly 30 years as a recruiter of talent.
LLoyd is a member of the American Staffing Association (ASA), the largest nationwide group serving as the voice of the industry representing approximately 35,000 staffing and search firm locations in the U.S. These organizations employ an estimated 2.91 million people each day as part of the nation’s contingent workforce.
LLoyd first opened its doors in 42 years ago. Founded in 1971, by Merrill Banks, a certified staffing professional (CSP), Mr. Banks continues to serve as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Today, second generation leadership is in place, with Keith Banks, CSP, as President, and Jason Banks, CSP, serving as Executive Vice President.
As part of LLoyd’s commitment to community outreach, we chose to support the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless (LICH) in their partnership with Holiday Magic and Every Child’s Dream. Together with these groups, LLoyd employees helped to collect school supplies, backpacks, clothing and sneakers for more than 1,000 children in need on Long Island.
