LLoyd Staffing is very proud to be part of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF’s) ONE Walk to help JDRF create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D) for the millions of children and adults living with this disease.
This year, we partnered with JDRF on our Placements with a Purpose Program. This program makes a donation to JDRF every time we make a hire at one of our LLoyd client’s or send a temporary worker or consultant to an employer. It’s all part of our corporate vision for giving back to the community where we live and work – JDRF is a worthwhile cause that does good work for everyone living with T1D.
With T1D, a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. If you have T1D, you must constantly monitor your blood-sugar level, inject or infuse insulin through a pump, and carefully balance these insulin doses with your eating and activity.
Living with T1D means there are no days off and there is no cure. But there is hope.
Our Metro NY employees and our temporary associates, clients, candidates and friends are invited to walk with us on Sunday, October 9th at the Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank. We also welcome your donations and/or invite you to be part of our team!
