Long Island Business News is Long Island’s only publication devoted to local commerce and has been the premier source of news and data on business, economic trends and the region’s robust entrepreneurial sector for more than 60 years. As the area’s No. 1 source for news on Long Island’s 149,000-plus businesses, LIBN pays special attention to the region’s leading sectors: education, healthcare, high-tech, financial and professional services, and commercial real estate and development. Each year, LIBN holds its Reader Rankings Awards which celebrate and recognize top organizations in the region as voted on by LIBN readers. The most recent vote was the publication’s largest vote to date; 14,000 votes were cast and LLoyd Staffing was named by readers as Long Island “Best Employment Agency.” Long Island Business News also awarded LLoyd its Corporate Citizenship Award in 2016.

Twice named as a “Best of Staffing” company by Career Builder, Inavero and the American Staffing Association, this prestigious distinction represents an average Net Promoter Score (NPD) eight times higher than industry average, and winners make up less than 2% of all staffing firms in the U.S. and Canada. It is the only NATIONAL award that recognizes staffing firms that have proven superior service quality based on the ratings given to them by their clients and/or candidates.

Recognition By The American Staffing Association

Most recently, in 2025, Lloyd was recognized once again by the ASA with an Honorable Mention CARE Award for our continued commitment to advancing mental health in the workplace. This recognition reflects our dedication to creating supportive environments for employees and consultants, underscoring the values of care, wellness, and responsibility that remain central to Lloyd’s culture.

In 2014, the American Staffing Association named one of our LLoyd IT Consultants the National Staffing Employee of the Year. This award honors a current or former temporary employee who exemplifies one or more of the staffing industry’s key messages: employment bridge and flexibility. Our employee was announced and recognized at an award ceremony at the ASA national convention, Staffing World.

Earlier in 2008, LLoyd was also named the first recipient of the American Staffing Association’s CARE Award recognizing outstanding corporate social responsibility initiatives among ASA members.

Proud member of New York Staffing Association

Lloyd headquarters is located on Long Island situated within the New York Metro Area. We are proud long-time members of the New York Staffing Association (NYSA).
NYSA represents the strongest voice in the New York staffing industry. Our clients know this membership demonstrates Lloyd as an organization committed to promoting the interests of staffing firms and advocating for high standards of professional and ethical conduct by members of our industry. NYSA is one of the largest affiliated chapters of the American Staffing Association.

Staffing Industry Certification

LLoyd actively participates in the American Staffing Association’s (ASA) Certification program, approved by the Human Resource Certification Institute. Certification requires demonstrated knowledge of labor and employment laws, as well as the code of ethics and good practices established by the ASA.

Study topics include the pre-employment process, equal employment opportunity laws and regulations, candidate screening, the Immigration Reform and Control Act, substance abuse and drug testing in the workplace, employment agreements, wage and hour laws, family and medical leave, workplace safety and the Occupational Safety and Health Act, workers’ compensation, wrongful discharge, co-employment issues, and more.

Our staff are Certified Staffing Professionals (CSP), and some are Technical Services Certified (TSC) as well. In addition to passing a timed two-hour online exam, maintaining certification requires 30 hours of approved continued education credits.

By working with a Certified Staffing Professional, clients are assured the highest level of quality service and competency in employment regulations and law.
