LLOYD STAFFING AWARDS CASH SCHOLARSHIPS TO
COLLEGE-BOUND TEMPORARY ASSOCIATE
Melville, NY (September 23, 2003) - Lloyd Staffing, a leading staffing service provider, today announced the winner of its 2003 Campus Cash program. The program was created to provide financial rewards to Lloyd temporary associates, who are currently enrolled in college, vocational or trade school. Cherie Bailey of Wheatley Heights was awarded a prize of $1000 for working the highest number of hours during the program's designated time period of June 1, 2003 through August 31, 2003. She is enrolled in Empire State College and is pursuing a degree in Social Work.
Cherie registered with Lloyd Staffing in July 2000 after moving to Wheatley Heights from South Carolina. As a single mom of two children, Cherie not only needed to find employment fast, she needed a job which would offer her training in new skills and the flexibility to attend college full-time while taking care of her children. Temporary work seemed ideal. Cherie was placed on assignment shortly after coming into Lloyd as an Administrative Assistant in a Marketing department at Nikon Inc. After three years, she continues to remain on the assignment and shines as an exemplary employee.
"We were extremely excited to give Cherie this award," said Keith Banks, CTS, Executive Vice President. "We take great pride in our Temporary workforce and we hope the Campus Cash program will encourage students to pursue temporary opportunities while assisting them with their educational goals."
This is the third year Lloyd Staffing has run the Campus Cash program.
