| Health Care Purchasing Group Calls On Lloyd For Referrals
By Claude Solnik The Joint Purchasing Corp., a Manhattan-based purchasing cooperative working with more than 6,000 health care institutions, has agreed to recommend Melville-based Lloyd Staffing to its members for temporary and permanent personnel services. Under the terms of the three-year contract, Lloyd becomes the organization's first approved provider of temporary staff and full-time prospects. Although the contract is not exclusive, Lloyd is currently the only staffing provider approved by JPC. Lloyd will refer clinical and non-clinical candidates for JPC's members, ranging from Pharmaceutical companies to hospitals and nursing homes nationwide. "It will put us in front of a lot of health care companies across the country," said Michele Iglio, a spokesman for Lloyd. JPC members include the North-shore Long Island Jewish Health System, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and New York University Medical Center, among others. Lloyd's Senior Vice President of Healthcare Staffing Kay Lackmann said she expects the highest demand to be for nurses, technology and office services personnel. "Access to qualified people who can do the job is a priority for our customer base," said Alexandra Zimmerman, director of contract services for JPC. The arrangement also includes financial and wide range of other staffers. Lloyd Staffiing, founded in 1971, operates out of 13 locations in seven
states. |
